Wanted: Refreshing summertime absinthe recipe

Your mission, if you choose to accept it... Find or create a recipe using that devilishly delicious liquor known as absinth. I know there are a lot of cocktails out there that have absinthe as an ingredient. However, they all seem to me to be more winter drinks. We need one that has more of a warm weather nature. I haven't had this much spirit trouble since the Fernet-Branca incident of aught-five.

I wonder if a Mojito would taste good with about a half ounce of absinthe added to the mix? I like my Mojitos on the less-sweet side, and maybe some absinthe would add some herbal "oomph."
Why reinvent the wheel, try this oldie but a goodie.

You can always try an Absinthe Frappé, it would not have lasted almost 100 years if it was not any good.
Type absinthe frappé into google there are many ways to make one and most look pretty good.

I recently went to my local Greek Festival and had some ouzo over ice on a hot day.
There is something so refreshing about anise flavor in hot weather. Just enjoy a some absinthe slowly poured over ice into a zombie glass filled with crushed ice or better yet Hawaiian style shaved ice.
I like the kicked up mojito idea.

Kirk's i'm not too sure about. I had an Absinthe Frappé the other day. Luckily, i have a pretty good dentist.
i personally like it with redbull

but i agree with bonzo. if youre to do anything with it you need mint. period.
There is truth to the mint idea. Perhaps a variation on one of the southern classics...
Tonight I shall try a Left Bank Julep!
Mr. BG likes Sazeracs, but you're right, they're more of a heavy drink.

I bet a Pimm's Cup could do with a dash of absinthe as well. Mmm, cucumber...
My Juleps tend to be Yankee - Michters Rye, preferably. But a traditional with Woodford Reserve hits the spot just as well. The wife enjoys a Pimm's Cup now and then but, the cucumber throws me off a bit. Strangely, i enjoy a slice of cucumber in a wet Hendrick's martini.
Hemingway's Death in the Afternoon Cocktail. I used St. Georges Absinthe with dirt cheap somewhat dry-ish champagne. It was kick ass then a serious kick to the head. Like forget your frigging address kick to the head. If you do this, you might want to throw the absinthe in the freezer before hand.
I'm a damn fool, A FOOL! for not thinking of a Hemingway. Thanks, Sir BuBBy.
yummmy.
I got a freezer full of Absinthe.  I might have to kill it this summer.
Or it might just kill you. Either way, Enjoy.
