A letter of Complaint

Just received this letter from my Liver - obviously a bit of suprise! It suggests I seek medical attention...so, over to you Doc.

Liver: whooha... hang on there everyone. I was the first to stand up for my rights as an organ and the first to be concerned for my welfare. Granted there are some important organs....some pleasurable ones too... but Heart and I had a chat and he said 'go for your life' i'll back you up all the way.... then next thing i know he's sidling up next to Lungs...who has remained very quiet in all of this.

Now, Skin we really like you but you've got a bit above yourself calling yourself an organ... lets face it you're just a waterproof bag - an important bag as you keep all the gang together but you're not the 'organ' league.

Keep the skin out of this....it only has a say when it comes to sun exposure maybe blunt trauma. So unless your getting into fights while drinking and passing out on a beach ( I guess that's probable) I'd say skin mind your own business....

Skin: Whatever!...your still upset from your fall from grace, you know, when our hosts use to think you were the most important organ...but were replaced be Heart ( he still feels guilty, that's the only reason he talks to you! I have heard him say "Liver, that slacker! just lying there...filtering...Big Deal" )

Yes I am waterproof, I also cushion and protect the deeper tissues, which you are one of because no one wants to look at you!

I am largest organ of the integumentary system, you Bile producing gland !

Liver: oh, so you want to get all medical do you... we'll leave that to the Doc... apparently he calls you 'flaky'. I'll leave you with this statement from Wikipedia "The liver is necessary for survival..." I rest my case Mr Epidermis.

Once I thought my liver was exhibiting some revolutionary thoughts. Just disagreeing with anything I drank. I sat it down and gave it a stern talking too and it fessed up... it was all my pancreas' fault.
