We are Beta testing this Wiki system. It's located under COCKTAILS from the navigation menu.
We have been without a cocktail recipe list for a long time and this might be a good solution.
Not only that but users can add their own cocktail recipes and also help update episode recipes.

Play around with it and let me know what you think.
It currently automatically adds the Wiki to user profile pages too which I don't see as useful.

Hmmm, I must be doing something wrong. I can't seem to save the recipe once if typed it in. Any thoughts?
Some how I managed to create two version of the Mai Tai recipe while looking at Dr. Tiki's posted page, and I seem to be able to edit existing pages, but can't create new pages.
Wiki at the top of the user profile page is weird!
It seems that if you move between editor and html mode it won't save unless you go back to editor mode and hit save.
Haven't quite figured it all out.

What are thoughts on cocktail history in addition to just a cocktail recipe?

For example, in Beachbum Berry's Sippin' Safari, he discusses the Mai Tai and the history of Don the Beachcomber's QB Cooler being the drink Vic tried to copy to create the Mai Tai. Vic went to court to legally validate his Mai Tai. Also, if anyone wants to try Don's version, Don the Beachcomber in Huntington Beach offers a 30's and 70's version of the Mai Tai... 30's being the QB Cooler, while the 70's being more the Mai Tai most know. Ryan, the head barkeep there makes his own falernum for his 30's Mai Tai.

The Mai Tai page could get quite long, quoting references and pointing to locations that serve those cocktails. I could spend hours adding this type of stuff... but if this is a temporary test... or if the thought is just a cocktail cookbook...

Thoughts?
Yeah, I think the drink history and pictures would be cool. There are lots of drink recipes on line but lttle of the story behind them.
Take the Vicious Virgin for example. During WW2 while flying over europe setting up clubs for the troops, Col. Don Beach was shot down over enemy lines. For several days he hid out with the help of the italian girl who nursed him.
He created the Vicious Virgin to honor her when he returned from the war.

This was the Vicious Virgin aircraft from late in the war.

I like it so far. The pictures and history along with the recipe are a nice touch. I can see the Wiki getting quite large, is there a way to add a search function?
Nice addition! Me likes....I plan on adding an entire section on Jager drinks...

I've managed to create a few new ones, but it's seems you can't cut and past from another page of any kind, you need to type the recipe in from scratch. and I haven't tried adding pictures yet.
