Entertaining once again at the Ona Ohan Club aka my house and need an easy holiday signature drink. Something that will appeal to the masses and be easy to make either individually or in bulk.

Thanks

Get some apple cider, about 1 gallon, toss in some cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom seeds and heat it up.

Get some nice dark rum or spiced rum, brown sugar and white raisins and position it by the punchbowl with some cups.

Pick up a mug, add spoonful of sugar (optional), add a spoonful of raisins (optional), and a nice slug of rum (optional) and stir. Add the hot spiced cider, stir to dissolve and enjoy.

Everyone will like it, it is hot, refreshing and tastes even better in cold weather, the kids can drink it too (without the rum).
Don't put the rum in the hot cider because it will evaporate and be too weak for the drinkers and still too strong for the kids and designated drivers.
Reminds me a bit like Glögg;

Ingredients
1.5 liter bottle inexpensive dry red wine
1.5 liter bottle inexpensive American port
750 ml bottle inexpensive brandy
10 inches cinnamon stick
15 cardamom seed pods or 1 teaspoon whole cardamom seeds
2 dozen whole cloves
1 orange peel, whole and washed
1/2 cup dark raisins
1 cup blanched almonds
2 cups sugar
Garnish with the peel of another orange

Serve warm by sticking a red hot poker in it!

This too is fine for the Kids...A lot of Booze, Fire and Blazing Steel...how else are they going to learn!
It sounds like Captnkirk is a conscientious captain, and CapnVulfie is a bit bloodthirsty!
I found a great one, too late to help you out. It's called Poinsettia Punch.
(It's red, but it contains no poisonous plants.)
We had it at my sister-in-law's house after Christmas and it was really easy to make and fun to drink.

Poinsettia Punch
750mL bottle of champagne
3 cups of cranberry-apple juice
¼ cup of thawed white grape juice concentrate
¼ cup of orange liquor

Chill all the ingredients beforehand, combine in a punchbowl or pitcher and just stir it gently with a little ice.
Be sure to buy extra of everything, it is so good your guests will probably drink about 4 times more of this than you think they will.

Source: My Sister-in-law found it in Southern Living.
I thought I would post on this thread. The holidays are coming you need to plan what your are going to be drinking soon.

Beer was an early winner........
Jager + Red Bull...its a party in a glass
