After seeing what Al Gore did with a few facts for Global Warming debate, I thought I would raise awareness about the looming threat of Global Drying. Everything you are about to read is true.
The Report on world alcohol consumption is out, and this video makes fun of it. Canadian alcohol consumption is not a joke it is down to just 7.8 liters per person per year.
The reporter portrays Canada as a nation of drinkers but the truth is, in 2 minutes she drinks more than the average Canadian does in an entire week. Canada has now slipped to #23 in world alcohol consumption behind even the United States which is now ranked at #20.
Alcohol consumption has been falling in the USA too at an alarming rate.
If this trend continues, the USA will have a 0.0 liters per capita alcohol consumption by the year 2075, and it will happen in Canada even sooner.
Historically when America was a powerful and respected nation we drank at least 4 or even 5 times as much alcohol per person as we do now. Today when you read about European laborers or British sailors being given a gallon of beer per day to do their jobs you almost think it is a misprint. In Ben Franklin's print shop workers were provided 16 pints of beer per day. Now days in most places if you even take a drink at work they will fire you.
Alcohol is healthy, in fact if in the USA if more doctors were like Dr. Tiki and advised people to drink moderately 80,000 fewer people per year would die each year. In the USA 1 in 3 people abstain from the health benefits of alcohol, in Canada it is 1 in 5 and in Europe it is just 1 in 20. This has to stop, if you don't have a tiki bar build one before it is too late, invite your friends over and serve them a cocktail. It is a fact people who drink in moderation are healthier and live longer than those who don't, please do not allow some one you care about to die needlessly because you would not mix them a cocktail.
We all know that people who drink are more fun then those who don't, but did you know they are usually smarter too.
We have to urge our government to act and act now! The government refuses to allow alcohol producers to tell anyone of the health benefits of their products. Meanwhile millions are being spent to try to cut alcohol consumption even lower. Nearly a dozen states with a .08 BAC level have proposed reducing this level to .06 or lower. Washington State has actually had legislation proposed to make even .02 illegal. This level is exceeded by consuming less than one drink or
by simply using mouthwash. Since half of all intoxicated drivers involved in fatal accidents have a BAC of .17 (nearly nine times higher than .02) or greater, is the real interest here in stopping drunk driving accidents or in stopping all drinking? You the drinking voter must become involved. If your local politician proposes laws like these you need to vote them out.
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Prohibition was a dark chapter of American history filled with economic depression and crime. We didn't recover until alcohol was legalized again. The Holocaust and the 9/11 attacks were both perpetrated by evil people with one thing in common. Hitler and Bin Laden both hated the USA and both abstained from alcohol.
So please stop global drying and do what ever you can to spread alcohol. There will be health, less violence and more prosperity because you cared enough to have another drink.
I've noticed the same correlation with spreadsheets, every time I see one I need a drink. I have a spreadsheet with functions to prove this mathematically.

It seems like there is a direct correlation between the desire to drink and the number of graphs someone has been forced to look at recently. I will have to look at the data and get back to with another graph after I finish this Mai Tai.
The Brewers Association report is out and it contains more good news, the number of breweries in the USA is almost the same as it was in 1900, and the breweries we have are making less and less of that watered down crap and more beers with flavor. Since I have been drinking beer the number of breweries has increased faster than at any time in our nations history, it's a great time to be alive. Check it out:
