So now that the "holiday season" is in full swing, I find myself being lovingly offered Eggnog. I really don't like it. I find it thick, overly sweet and just weird tasting. My question is, would making it from scratch change my mind?

Oh I also hate soymilk. I think it just tastes too much like soy beans. But I happen to love SoyNog. Weird.

I have never made homemade egg nog, but I have had it before.
It was really good even though it had no alcohol in it.

Whenever I want a recipe I go to the food networks website and just print it out. Nothing I have ever made from there has turned out bad or made anyone sick. They have lots of egg nog recipes, and most of them look pretty tasty. Here is a sample:

I agree with BuBBy, your Nog is only as good as the booze you put in it. Myself, I'm all about the Brandy. Throw a shot of that and another of Rum in your silly old syruppy Nog, and that's when things start getting tasty.

Last Xmas I opted for the "Noggasaki".
1 part Nog, 2 parts Saki

Saki makes a great mixer, who knew??
They just had the Northwest Eggnog Competition, a contest for the best eggnog, and a tiki bar called Thatch won first place.

Just click on the link for a article about the contest and the recipes of the three best eggnogs.

Eggnog Contest and three best recipes.
What about a Nog-a-Sake ?
