I came up with a new cocktail recently, it's somewhat tiki AND it has tequila, which Ms. Fastwater has claimed is her favorite liquor. (Mine too, weeeeeoooh!)

THE DANCING LALA

1-1/2 ounces blood orange juice (Regular OJ will work if you can't get blood oranges, but the blood orange gives a nice pinkish color. FRESH squeezed juice only!)

1 ounce bianco vermouth (This is a sweet white vermouth- don't use dry vermouth or the red sweet stuff.)

1-1/2 ounces reposado or blanco tequila (I used Partida Blanco)

Stir these ingredients with ice, serve on the rocks. Take a few sips and dance your purty little heinie off!

Mmmmmm. An aptly named drink I think. Of course, I now need to go and get those particular libations....

Don't forget the dancing part! The drink doesn't taste right until you dance.
Crud, I just came from the liquor store!!! Well, if I have to go back, then back I go!
ohhh....that sounds good

(I'm also a big fan of tequila, but not such a big fan of dancing...unless I've had a lot of the aforementioned tequila)
I made three of these for Mr. BonzoGal and myself last night- we ran out of blood oranges after a couple and I switched to lime juice. Not as pretty, but still dang tasty. The bianco vermouth gives just enough sweetness without taking away from the smokey taste of the tequila.

And we definitely did some tequila-inspired dancing in the living room. There was one dance we named "The Simpsons" which was hilarious but the choreography of which is a little fuzzy now...
Does it have to be good dancing? Need to try this drink out..but afraid of the dancing part....I dance like a Cyberman having a seizure.

I dance like a rhumba dancer being electrocuted. Which is why I'm not allowed to. Geneva convention.

I would say that "good" is highly subjective. My husband caught me tequila-dancing on video once and I made him delete it on pain of pain. I think "good" really means "I didn't break any too much furniture or cause myself any grievous wounds when I was done."
Sounds good! May have to try this weekend!
