Put the Lime in the Coconut

1/2oz. Capt. Morg. Parrot Bay Coconut Rum
1/2oz. Bacardi Limon Rum
1/2oz. Triple Sec
1/2oz. Rose's Lime Juice
3-4oz. Pina Colada Mix
Blend with Ice apprx. 2 scoops
Pour into a 12oz. glass

Garnish with:
Lime Wedge
Shredded Coconut

Back Story;
One day while driving to work, the song 'Put the Lime in the Coconut' was playing on the radio. I thought it was an obvious name for a drink and wondered if someone had come up something using it. So, I put together a little something and then submitted it to Bartender Magazine & their 'CocktailRight' research dept. A month later I got a letter and certificate from them certifying it was original. I though it was pretty cool until a few weeks later when I received the new issue of Bartender Magazine. Not even thinking that they would publish the recipe I was just casually thumbing through it. I was looking over the 'Creative Cocktails' section when I say the name "Put the Lime in the Coconut" listed. I immediately though someone had stolen my name until, below the recipe I noticed my name. That's when I though WOW!!! 8)

So, I hope you try it and enjoy it. It's a great drink to try & perfect for those hot summer days or night.

Oh, and it also tastes great or even better just mixed and shaken over ice & on the rocks if you don't want it blended and frozen.
