I'm pretty sure I asked this question while some of us enjoyed cocktails at Don's over the 4th of July weekend... for some reason I can't recall any of your answers. So I'm going to ask this question again...

If you were going to introduce someone to the Tiki Bar (and could only show them one episode) which episode would you select?

Now to append the original question if the person was from... lets say, Europe, would that alter your selection? You know, maybe selecting an episode that mocks the French instead of your original choice.

Thoughts?

I would say Episode 45...Because its been 7 1/2 years in the making :o

Not like I'm anxious or anything!

Hows that for a Non-Answer!
As far as non-answers go, that is the most perfect non-answer of all.

To hijack my own thread... loved the Halloween photos. I've dreamed of having an event like that since I was a small child decorating my parents basement during summer vacation for the sole purpose of scaring the hell out of my friends in the neighborhood. You are my new hero... cheers to you Sir!

For Halloween I'm going to be the Bartender From Hell.

Yes, it's a tired theme, but I'm a tiresome guy!
I think my choice of 'introductory' episode would depend on the particular interests of the person I'm introducing it to. For example, if it is someone who is enjoys the science fiction, I might start with Space Cadet. Or someone who likes motion pictures might enjoy Apocalypse Tiki as an introduction.

On a related note - my mister actually introduced us both to Tiki Bar TV with episode 1... we were hooked from beginning ;)

On an unrelated note - SirCapn's Halloween photos were fantastic!
See, that's why this is an interesting question... you can't just select your favorite episode. You have to anticipate how the other person will react.

MCB, similar story: I was doing some podcast research for work back when there was just a handful to choose from. Leo from TWiT mentioned the Tiki Bar (at that time only episodes 1 and 2 were available). I remeber watching them over and over again thinking, this is more entertaining than anything I've seen on T.V. for the last decade. Immediately hooked.

First...I'm glad you all liked the Photos...Next year I Will take a Movie going through The Hall Of Doom! I didn't even think of it this year...Dehr!

Second... I think 'Apocalypse Tiki' could be my first choice for the Shear Cinematic Quality...but, I fear my Family wouldn't get it, well ...because our Gene Pool is more like a Mud Puddle! Kinda like when I went to see 'Fargo' and wondering why the audience was laughing?

Molson ...Its a long way from Mississippi, but, you should come out next year for the party...even a day or two ahead if you want to help set up!

I'm starting work on some Animatronics.
The first episode I ever saw was 'Blue Hawaiian' and when my firend's wife watched the opening sequence and announced that her husband would not be allowed to watch it, I knew I was onto something! When they further proved that alcohol was the cure for any condition, and 'Clinical' depression was a myth, I was hooked!

How many demographics can you offend in a single 5:38 video clip? Amazing!

And extremely funny.

For Catholics, 'Missionary' is the obvious starter. For PETA members, 'Dingo', or 'Apocalypse Tiki'.

The list goes on and on, and your sensibilites may not match mine (let us hope to all that is holy!), but that's my two cents.
Done! That will be an amazing way to jump into the Halloween season. I'm adding this to my annual travel budget.

Amazing opportunity, thanks for the invitation!

So your approach would be to pick an episode that would truly press someone's buttons... interesting.

Dunno if you've noticed, but that's how I roll. 80% successful, but 20% of the time people think I'm a real jerk.

Be warned!

And speaking of pushing people's buttons, you're even MORE handsome in that siut!
Twitter has revealed that Tiki women like suits. Who the hell knew!?

And are you flirting with me again?
