Okay, here is the skinny,
We meet at Memorial Park on the corner of Holly and Raymond. Sunday January 18th. It is nice to get there around 10am so you can have time to see all the other entries, get dressed, get "ready" and just have a really good time! We don't really start marching until around noonish.
If you want easy access to your stuff after the parade the best lot to park at is the open lot at the office building on the west corner of Fair Oaks and Union. At that lot we will be parking our truck which will have the water to clean up with. Of course you could always just wear your toga home. You can also park somewhere else and take the Metro Gold Line in, the Memorial Park station is really close to the start and our end of the parade.
If you have your own toga, please bring it. If you don't just let me know and I can make sure to have something for you there. Wear clothes you don't care so much for under the toga, DO NOT GO COMMANDO! Most of the time the punch washes out, but just in case, wear something scruffy. I like to wear a tank top and shorts.
If you don't mind your children watching adults sneak alcoholic beverages and getting a little tipsy, then this is a family friendly event. If you don't want that, then you can either keep the kids separated from us until we start marching or watch the parade from the sidelines. :)
Once the parade is over we will do a quick clean up in the parking lot, most likely load stuff into trucks and then walk over to McMurphys on the corner of Union and Fair Oaks. We will be in the back patio drinking and eating for a little while after the parade, so you can always visit us there too!!
Okay, I think that is all. I am sure I missed lots of stuff so please let me know what!
